lastly, Nana always has a blanket on her lap, to keep her warm — we got matching ones when I was younger and she still uses hers daily. it’s falling apart, almost in sync with her slowly failing body parts, which is why I took this photo — it’s hard to tell for you all, but that blanket is quite old (it used to be very brightly colored and it wasn’t linty like that) and in comparison with her aged hand, it just makes a statement, to me. and that’s why I take these personal photos, for me. these photos will tell many stories about Nana to me for the rest of my life and I’m thankful that I have the time to spend with her and the equipment to properly document these tender moments.
